Community And Holiday Events This Weekend In Las Vegas
If you're looking for something to do away from the Strip or Fremont, check out these things.

There's a number of ways you can get into the holiday spirit around the Las Vegas Valley this weekend. If you're more on the Scrooge/Grinch end of the spectrum, well, it's Las Vegas. There's plenty for you to do as well. Check out this list of things to do around town this weekend:
Las Vegas Philharmonic's Home For The Holidays
Join Las Vegas Philharmonic for some holiday tunes Saturday afternoon at The Smith Center. This concert features music from The Nutcracker and other holiday classics. Ticket prices range from $30-$109 and the concert starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. There is a pre-concert conversation that precedes the show at 1 p.m. The Smith Center is located at 361 Symphony Park Ave.

Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops
For the parent that loves the outdoors, wants to knock out some holiday shopping, and keep the kids entertained all at the same time. Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops begins today and runs daily through Christmas Eve. Free activities for children including a Lincoln Logs building area, arts and crafts, remote control cars, and more. The Bass Pro Shops Las Vegas location is at 8200 Dean Martin Dr.

Las Vegas Great Santa Run
This year's Las Vegas Great Santa Run begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. The annual marathon raises money for Opportunity Village, a non-profit that works with adults who have intellectual disabilities. Registration is $45 and comes with a 5-piece Santa suit, goodie bag, and participation medal. The course takes runner throughout Downtown Las Vegas. Clouds are expected on Saturday, but runners will likely be finished by the time they arrive.
Ethel M Chocolates Holiday Cactus Garden
The Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates in Henderson is now open and runs through Jan. 1. It is located at 2 Cactus Garden Dr. in Henderson and is free to the public. There's also a skating rink open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $10.
The Mob Museum's Cocktail Crawl
Participating bars in this cocktail crawl will each feature a $5 Prohibition-era cocktail for thirsty participants to try. The Mob Museum selected bars to participate by interviewing bartenders about their best Prohibition inspired drinks. The drink specials will be available all day on Saturday, Dec. 2. A vote will determine the Boss of the Bars. You can pick up a map of the cocktail crawl at the Mob Museum or by visiting their website.
Vegas Golden Knights vs. Arizona Coyotes
In the franchise's first season, the Golden Knights have proven to be a force in the NHL's Western Conference. They take on the Coyotes at home on Sunday Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. For ticket info, click here.
