A rundown of crime and incidents reported by LVMPD around the Las Vegas valley over Christmas weekend.

Armed Robbery on Pecos Rd.
Las Vegas Metropolitan police released a surveillance photo of a suspect from an armed robbery which occurred on Dec. 21 at a convenience store on Pecos Rd.

The suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Metro police descrive the suspect as a medium buil black adult male, 30 years old, roughly six feet tall, with black hair and facial hair.
Pedestrian death on Algonquin Dr.

Early on Saturday morning a hit and run occurred on Algonquin Dr. that left one pedestrian dead. Metro police said that the incident occurred around 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 23 when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lane of Algonquin Dr. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time, the police report said.
The pedestrian was described as a male in his 40s. He was pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital, the 132nd traffic fatality reported by LVMPD. The driver fled the scene and the incident is currently under investigation.

Detective investigate possible double homicide
On Friday morning metro police responded to a home on Valder Ave. where two people, a male and a female, were found dead, a Metro release said.
The two were found dead from a gunshot wound when a caregiver arrived at the home. When nobody answered the door initially, medical personnel responded and found the two individuals dead inside the home.

47-year old woman arrested in triple murder of roomates
On Friday afternoon, 47-year old Christine Sanchez allegedly shot and killed her three roommates following an argument at their home on Del Santos Dr. Later in the day, Metro police arrested her for the crime.
According to a Metro release, Sanchez shot two males and one female "multiple times" after an ongoing argument. She fled the scene before police responded but was arrested later in the day on Digger St.
Sanchez is currently being held on three counts of murder and is expected in court on Wednesday morning.

Woman found dead inside a Las Vegas dumpster
A dead woman was found inside a dumpster on Viking Rd. on Christmas Eve, Metro police reported.
The woman's body was on Dec. 24 at 4:28 p.m. found by a homeless man who was searching for recyclables inside the dumpster of an apartment complex. The identity of the victim and cause of death has not been released yet. No suspects have been identified in the woman's death.
