Merryhill Preschool Summerlin Students Release Ladybugs for Earth Day
On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing beneficial bugs into their schoolyard
On April 22, students at Merryhill Preschool Summerlin in Las Vegas bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers, and trees. Students also participated in a variety of eco-themed activities focused on recycling and water conservation, which reinforced the importance of protecting the environment and promoting environmentally responsible habits from a young age.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees, and shrubs. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of caring for the Earth and exploring nature at an early age.
