Merryhill Students Donate Food to Local Families in Need

Students held a school-wide food drive to collect food for families at Ronald McDonald House

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Green Valley Parkway in Henderson and Merryhill Preschool Summerlin on Alta Drive in Las Vegas Recently held food drives to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas, which offers a supportive home-like community that eases burdens, lessens stress, and enhances the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families in Nevada. Through this initiative, students learned about the importance of giving back to their community and how their donations will help others.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
