Metro Police Arrest Suspect In Flood Drainage Homicide
Police arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a flood drainage on Jan. 1.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A 23-year old man has been arrested in connection to the death of a man whose body was found in a flood drainage on New Year's Day. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the man was found decomposed with broken bones, head injuries, and internal bleeding underneath a blanket.
On Monday, LVMPD announced the arrest of Damon Echols, who is being held in Clark County Detention Center and faces one murder charge. A Metro release stated Echols was arrested on March 9, but did not indicate what led detectives to identify him as the suspect. He's being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 19, according to court records.
