Mirage Hotel Room Shooting: 1 Dead, 2 Critical, Las Vegas Police Say

LAS VEGAS, NV — Three people were shot in a hotel room following a fight at The Mirage on the Las Vegas strip, and one person died in what police called an "isolated event."

Las Vegas Metropolitan police said it was investigating the shooting around 10 p.m. Thursday. One person died and two were critically wounded, according to reports.

The victims and suspect knew each other, police said. Police Capt. Dori Koren told KLAS early Friday the shooting stemmed from a fight in the room between four people. One person in the room shot the other three and ran.

Koren later tweeted around 3:15 a.m. the suspect was arrested.
