Murder Suspect Caught On Surveillance, Metro Asks For Help

Metro police are seeking help in locating a murder suspect who shot and killed a man while fleeing on bicycle last week.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are seeking help in finding a suspect from a Dec. 1 murder. On Wednesday Metro released surveillance footage that shows the suspect fleeing the scene after shooting and killing a man who was attempting to thwart his robbery.

The victim, Kolton Sawyer, 26, was killed after chasing the suspect who just robbed a woman near Melody Ln. and Rancho Dr. The suspect turned to shoot as he fled on bicycle and hit the victim twice, according to Metro.

The murder occurred near the intersection of Holly Ave. and Allen Ln., according to Metro.

The suspect is being described as a black male between between 20-30 years old with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black zip up hoodie and black jeans. Metro said he was last seen jumping a wall into Portola Del Sol Apartments.
