Nevada Democratic Party Calls For Investigation Into Kihuen
The Democratic part of Nevada says it supports a full investigation into Rep. Ruben Kihuen after sexual misconduct allegations surfaced.

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Nevada Democratic Party said in an email Friday that they support a full investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against Rep. Ruben Kihuen that surfaced by way of a Buzzfeed report on Friday.
In a statement, the state party said:
"The Nevada State Democratic Party commends Samantha for having the courage to share her story. A zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment means holding our leaders accountable for reports of inappropriate conduct. We are disappointed in these allegations against Congressman Kihuen and support an investigation into his behavior. There are no excuses and there is no place for this behavior in our party. We need to establish a culture where women feel comfortable coming forward to tell their stories and knowing action will be taken. As a party dedicated to fighting for the equal rights of women, we all have a responsibility to do more to root out and prevent sexual harassment."
Kihuen is alleged to have made unwanted sexual advances towards a former staffer during his 2016 congressional campaign.
