  1. The City of Las Vegas has a big year ahead. Many project proposals will come to fruition, including a new College of Southern Nevada campus, the continuation of a growing medical district, plans for a city civic plaza, and much more. Mayor Carolyn Goodman spoke with KNPR about upcoming projects and decisions the City Council will make this year. You can listen to the discussion at the link. (KNPR)
  2. The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas will celebrate its 11th anniversary with a special promotion for visitors. The museum educates the public on the history of organized crime and its impact on society. It will hold a special presentation of historically significant artifacts on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Nevada residents can explore the museum for free, and non-locals can purchase buy-one-get-one-free tickets on this date. (News3LV)
  3. The county is making it easier for couples to get married this Valentine's Day with a pop-up marriage license office. The temporary office will open at Harry Reid International Airport from Feb. 2-14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 1,500 marriage licenses are issued around Valentine's Day – twice the number during a non-holiday period.   • Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery is starting the year off with an exhibition by a Made in Vegas 2022 winner. The special three-month exhibit by surrealist artist Chris Elliman will showcase Elliman’s one-of-a-kind work now through Friday, Mar. 31. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
  • Las Vegas' "Coasting into 2023" event was held on Sunday at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino, where small businesses in the area set up, shopped, and shared with attendees the importance of shopping small and local. (News3LV)
