NLVPD Detective Named FBI's Officer Of The Year
Detective Mark Hoyt was named Officer of the Year at the FBI's Las Vegas field office on Tuesday.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV - North Las Vegas Police Detective Mark Hoyt was recognized by the FBI's Las Vegas office as its Officer of the Year. Hoyt is an NLVPD detective and member of a local task force with the FBI.
He was honored Tuesday morning at the FBI building in Las Vegas.
"He does amazing work. He always puts his all into it," said NLVPD Public Information Officer Aaron Patty. "The FBI reached out and said we want to honor Mark and make him our Officer of the Year."

Hoyt works extensively on sex crimes, specifically those involving children.
"It was a nice little recognition, something he deserves," Patty said.
