- Thieves in Las Vegas stole the catalytic converter from Oscar Mayer’s iconic Wienermobile, but not all hope is lost for the vehicle. The president of PETA sent a letter to the parent company Kraft Heinz and offered to cover the costs for a new catalytic converter and vehicle maintenance for one year – under one condition. All costs will be covered only if Oscar Mayer agrees to change the 27-foot-long hot dog into a vegan hot dog mobile. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- School districts throughout the state reported "swatting" calls, causing some to go into lockdown, on Thursday. White Pine School District, Douglass County School District, and Fallon Police Department reported similar incidents, and Nye County schools went into lockdown. Gov. Joe Lombardo announced on Twitter that his office was "aware of the suspected swatting reports." (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
