Police Finally Nab Suspected Serial Robber
A person suspected of robbing numerous businesses in the Las Vegas Valley over the course of a year was arrested on Sunday.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police estimate it was one year ago that Lanarrd Laird allegedly committed the first of a number of robberies in the Las Vegas Valley. On Sunday they finally caught him in the act.
According to a Metro press release, Laird was arrested at around 3:25 a.m. on Sunday morning after robbing a convenience store on Amigo St. The store clerk activated an alarm and detectives who were already around the area pursued Laird on foot before arresting him.
According to the LVMPD, Laird is facing charges of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary with a firearm in connection with "at least" 17 robberies in Henderson, Las Vegas, and North Las Vegas since December 2016.

All of the robberies described the same suspect, according to the release. Police were searching for a black male, over six feet tall, weighing over 250 pounds, wearing a camouflage bandana and brandishing a gun. Most of the robberies occured at convenience stores, the release said.
