Rosen Says Heller Should Distance Himself From Wynn After Report

Senate candidate and CD3 Rep. Jacky Rosen made a statement calling on Sen. Dean Heller to reject Steve Wynn's support.

NEVADA - It didn't take long for the story of the day in Nevada to become politicized. Hours after the Wall Street Journal published allegations that Las Vegas mogul Steve Wynn sexually harassed employees over several decades, it's now a talking point on the campaign trail.

Senate candidate, and current representative of Nevada's 3rd Congressional District, Jacky Rosen said Friday that Sen. Dean Heller should distance himself from Wynn's support.

“No matter how powerful you are, there should be zero tolerance for sexual harassment, and I stand with the women bravely coming forward to share their stories. The national Republican Party should remove Mr. Wynn as their lead fundraiser, and Sen. Heller should do what’s right by rejecting Mr. Wynn’s support and calling on him to step down from this prominent RNC position," Rosen said in a statement.

Wynn is the finance chairman of the Republican National Committee. FEC records show Heller received several donations from Wynn and his wife Andrea Wynn last year. Wynn has denied the allegations detailed in the WSJ article.
