Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. Southwest Airlines will continue its 2023 growth plans to expand its Las Vegas schedule despite its widespread flight cancelations at the end of December. Southwest initially announced its growth plans in September and confirmed that it planned to move forward with the scheduled increase during its fourth-quarter earnings meeting on Thursday.   2. With egg prices rising, local Las Vegas chicken owners report seeing more people interested in raising their chickens or asking current chicken owners for free eggs. Local chicken owners talked about supporting new or interested chicken owners and the costs of raising chickens. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. Movie fans can watch some of this year's Academy Award contenders in theaters again. Several local Regal and Cinemark theaters will screen all ten of the films nominated for this year's Best Picture award for a limited time in March, leading up to the Academy Awards on Sunday, Mar. 12.
