Upcoming Spring Activities In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV - Spring has arrived and there's a variety of activities for all ages offered by the city of Las Vegas' recreation department. The following is a list of upcoming leagues, camps, and Easter activities in the Las Vegas Valley.

Spring Sporting Activities

Spring Adult Sand Volleyball

There are two divisions - a 6-on-6 recreation league, and a 4-on-4 competitive league. Participants must be 18 or older. Registration ends March 6. Games are played at Centennial Hills Park Sand Volleyball Pits. Registration is $150 per team. Register at http://recreation.lasvegasnevada.gov or call 702-229-4616.

Spring Youth Coed Baseball

Registration for children ages 4-8 is open through March 17 and games are played on Saturday mornings from April 7-May 26. Registration is $55 per child, and it comes with a team jersey. The divisions are T-Ball (ages 4-6) and Coaches Pitch (ages 6-8). Volunteer coaches are needed, and any coach whose child plays will have the child's registration fee waived. Spring Competitive Youth Volleyball League Registration

For players ages 12-16, this league starts on April 7 and runs through June 2. Registration is $400 per team and ends March 17. Games will be played at community centers across Las Vegas. Spring Youth Soccer Recreation League Registration

For children ages 3-10. The season begins on April 7 and registration ends on March 17. Games are played at All-American park. A skills and draft day will be held on March 17. For children ages 3-4, registration is $45. For aged 5-10, registration is $55. Registration comes with a team jersey.

MSU Adult Pickleball Scrambler

MSU Adult Spring Softball Leagues Registration

There are five divisions for spring softball - coed recreation, coed D, coed D+, Men's D, and 18+. Registration is open from March 12-19. The season begins on March 26. Registration is $475 per team, plus regular season umpire fees of $168. The season consists of a seven-week regular season in which teams play one doubleheader per week. A single elimination tournament follows the regular season.

Easter Events

Ward 4/YMCA Easter Eggstravaganza

When: Friday, March 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Durango Hills Community Center/YMCA; 3521 N. Durango Dr.

What: Egg decorating and family movie night at the Durango Hill Community Center. Bring your own blankets. The movie "Hop" will be shown.

Easter Eggstravaganza at the Pool

When: Saturday, March 24 (9 a.m. for ages 3-6; 9:45 a.m. for ages 7-10)

Where: Pavillion Center Pool; 101 S. Pavilion Center Dr.

What: Easter egg hunt, games, activities, music, and swimming for children ages 3-10. Bring a bucket to collect eggs. Children under 7 years old must have an adult with them.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When: Thursday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Spring Break Camps

Camp Malibu

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 to Friday, March 30 for youth ages 10-21 with developmental disabilities. Registration is $400 per person. The five-day camp takes campers to Calabasas, CA and offers sports, arts and craft, hiking, and trips to Zuma Beach. For more information call 702-229-4903.

Cimarron Rose Spring Break Camp

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for children ages 5-12. Registration is $100 per person. Children will be offered sports, games, arts and crafts in a supervised environment. Registration is open through March 26. Call 702-229-1607 for more information.

East Las Vegas Spring Break Camp (ages 5-11)

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for children ages

Safekey Spring S.T.E.A.M. Camp

Spring Break Camp at Municipal Pool

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for children ages 6-11 at the Municipal Pool at 431 E. Bonanza Rd. Registration is $150 per person.

Stupak Spring Break Camp

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for children ages 4-16 at the Stupak Community Center at 251 W. Boston Ave. Registration is $75 for children 6-16 and $35 for children 4-5 for half a day.

Stupak Counselor in Training Camp

For people aged 15. This camp will run from March 26 through March 30 at the Stupak Community Center. Registration is $25 per person and participants will learn to be camp counselors and assist staff in conducting camp activities.

Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center Spring Break Camp

This camp runs from Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for children ages 6-11 at Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center at 101 N. Pavilion Center Dr.
