Video Pays Tribute To Las Vegas Shooting Victims

The city of Las Vegas released a video with messages from the city's Hearts4Vegas campaign, set to the music of local artist Kiara Brown.

LAS VEGAS, NV - In the wake of the horrific events of Oct. 1, outpouring of support flowed into Las Vegas from across the world. Messages of hope and love were sent to Las Vegas through the city's "Hearts4Vegas" campaign.

A glimpse of those messages is now available in the form of a music video. The video is a fitting tribute to the 58 lives lost while enjoying music at the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert. It's both a message of love as well as hope moving forward for the city.

"Be strong, be positive. Never give up, never quit. You can do it. God bless all the people of Las Vegas," one message in the video reads.

Others thank the first responders for their actions that night.

"We need more people like you, ready to jump into action. Thank you for saving the lives of many. Thank you for protecting us," one message reads.

Another message says, "Thank you first responders for your help and bravery during this traumatic experience. We really appreciate your understanding and help. We don't know what we would've done with you. I hope you're okay and safe."

The city of Las Vegas sourced the local talent pool for artists to pay tribute to the victims and first responders of Oct. 1.

The messages are set to the music of Las Vegas singer-songwriter Kiara Brown. Brown is a graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts. Her song, "58 Stars," is a tribute to the 58 lives lost during the shooting.

Another local artist, J.K. Russ, created the Hearts4Vegas display, which will be on display at the 2nd floor of Las Vegas city hall for the remainder of December. After that, the display will go on a tour and be displayed across the city's other offices.
