- The Southern Nevada Water Authority voted to approve funding for a water pipeline at the Apex Industrial Park in North Las Vegas. The board of directors voted for $37 million in funding for the pipeline, which will take wastewater from the industrial park to another site where it will be treated and sent back into Lake Mead. - A study by Instacart found that Nevada’s egg prices are the fourth highest price in the United States. On average, a Nevada shopper paid around $6.07 per dozen eggs in December. Nevada ranks behind Hawaii, Florida, and Alabama with California taking the fifth spot. (Subscription: Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- The Las Vegas FBI is seeking public assistance in locating a man who has been missing since the beginning of November 2022. Johnnie "John" Wiens was last known to be traveling from Las Vegas to San Diego. (Fox 5 Vegas)

- Pull on your running shoes, because Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas is just around the corner! The running series will offer a half marathon, 10K, and 5K run through the Strip on Feb. 25 and 26. Registration is open now! (Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series)
- If you’re up for a bit of a drive up to nearby Mesquite, then mark your calendars for the Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival. The festival will run Jan. 27 to 29 and viewing the balloons is free to the public. (Visit Mesquite)
- Hang in there, Las Vegas! The Las Vegas Boulevard construction will be completed soon in spring 2023. The improvements to the 2.5-mile stretch of road are part of the largest public works project in the city’s history. (City of Las Vegas Government via Facebook)
