  1. Children will find 10,000 colored Easter eggs at this year's Our Promise To Nicholas Foundation Egg Hunt Festival. The egg hunt provides nursing care for children suffering from Batten Disease, supports the children with a rare diseases clinic, collaboration with MGH clinicians, and supports research and science for the rare disease. This year's event is called INDOOR MAZE to the Egg Hunt & Easter Bunny and will be held at the Bedford Sportsplex on Saturday, April 16 from 8:30 a.m. - noon. The Easter egg hunt even features 10,000 colorful plastic eggs that blanket the indoor soccer field where children can safely gather. You can read more about this event and story here: (Bedford Patch)
  2. A shout out to Patrick Hostetter who joined the team at Bank of New Hampshire in Bedford as a mortgage loan officer. He will be based in the bank’s Bedford office and will serve southern New Hampshire. Hostetter worked in commercial agriculture lending before making the move to rural home and small farm loans. You can read more about this story here: (New Hampshire Business Review)
  3. A familiar lottery scam has been making the rounds. A WMUR viewer sent in a fraudulent lottery letter her mother received announcing that she "won" the Mega Millions Spanish sweepstakes. To claim her prize, she had to contact a claim agent. The letter went on to say if she couldn't travel to Spain to sign documents, she would have to pay a home delivery and insurance fee or accept a wire transfer directly into the person's account. The goal is to steal money from the "lottery winner." Be on the lookout for lottery scams and remember, you can't "win" a lottery you didn't enter, and you should never pay to receive a prize. You can read the full story here: (WMUR)
  4. Bedford resident and consultant Brian Nolen flew from Boston to Berlin on March 23 to drive a passenger van from Germany to Poland delivering essential items to help the people of Ukraine. He will also transport people from Ukraine to safety. He worked with other Facebook groups to find out what was needed most. You can read more about how he is helping on his GoFundMe page and here: (Facebook)
