5 Fun NH Weekend Activities, Nov. 9-11

1. Great theater! Peacock Players, New Hampshire's premiere award winning youth theatre, proudly presents LES MISERABLES Nov. 9-18. Performed entirely by students. This international smash-hit may be the most popular musical in the world. In 19th century France, convict Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life. 2. Play it Forward! The Alpine Grove in Hollis will be hosting a fundraiser for a those dealing with cancer. They are "PLAYING IT FORWARD" and going to ROCK OUT CANCER!! If you love to rock out, come dance with them on Friday, Nov.9, from 6:30-11 p.m. Charlie Farren from Farrenheit and The Joe Perry Project is their headliner, and Eastwood Peak from Pepperell will be there along with Napoleon in Rags from Manchester, Kim Riley and Tom Davis and the Murphy Brothers from Milford. A few smaller local southern NH acts will also play. Tickets are $25 each (a steal for all you music lovers) before the show and $30 at the door. Please come and support our friend Robbyn Culpon! 3. Snobby! Starting Friday, The 2012 SNOB Film Festival in Concord is bringing four fun days filled with Independent films with special events every days. Shorts, Features, Documenties, Dramas, Comedies... Something for everyone. More details on the films and the festival will be provided on our website.

4. Food and crafts! Over 250 of the regions finest Craftsmen and women will display and sell their crafts at the 17th Annual New England Craft & Specialty Food Fair in Salem on Saturday. The fair will have Candles, Turned Wood, Pottery, Scarves, Tapestry, Fine Jewelry, Quilts, Baskets, Photography, Metal Sculpture, Soap, Wall Hangings, Puppets, Appliqués, Chimes, Hats, Folk Toys, Carved Birds, Soft Sculpture, Victorian Wreaths, Leather, Slate, Mail Boxes, Pen & Ink Drawings, Calligraphy, Fleece, Silk and Dried Floral Arrangements, and much more. A “food sampling” extravaganza will be presented with such gourmet delights as: Herbal Dips, Sauces, Jams & Jellies, Maple Products, Candies, Dried Fruit & Nut Mixes, Relishes, Pickles, Fudge, Vinegar’s, Pastry, Oil’s, Salsa’s and Gourmet Coffees. 5. Almost the season! The Concord Hospital will host their Annual Holiday Craft Fair on on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Door prizes and of course, beautiful and unique holiday gifts and gift ideas! Proceeds support Capital Region Healthcare scholarship program.
