5 Great Places to Enjoy 4th of July Fun in New Hampshire
Of course, you can head to Boston for the nation's largest Independence Day extravaganza, but here's a list of five places you can go locally to enjoy fireworks, a parade, patriotic tunes or some tasty summer treats.

1. Amherst, NH. Fireworks are on the 3rd, but take the short drive to Amherst Village and enjoy the Granite State's largest 4th of July parade. In the past, several presidential candidates including Mitt Romney have attended this event. Parade starts at 10 a.m. sharp, but there will be all kinds of other fun activities to enjoy as well. For a full list of times and activities, click here.
2. Merrimack, NH. Merrimack is one of the few towns in Southern New Hampshire that still embraces the complete Independence Day experience on the 4th. Following the annual Sparkler 5K road race (which begins at 8 a.m. at the Merrimack YMCA), enjoy a pancake breakfast hosted by the Merrimack Rotary Club at Merrimack High School from 8 a.m. through noon. There is a chalk art contest from 9-11 a.m., and then the Merrimack Rotary Family Day commences at noon behind Mastricola Elementary School and lasts through the evening's fireworks show. Of course, Merrimack's 1 p.m. parade along Daniel Webster Highway is top notch and not to be missed. For complete details, click here.
3. Hampton Beach, NH. Fireworks are launched from several locations from Seabrook through Hampton to North Hampton on July 4, and Hampton Beach is hosting a fireworks display on July 3. The B Street Bombers perform at the Hampton Beach Seashell stage from 7-9:30 p.m. followed immediatly by one of the area's most majestic fireworks display takes place over the ocean.

5. Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, Manchester NH. Though the Queen City presents its fireworks display Wednesday night, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats remind us that there are few better ways to spend our Independence Day than watching America's favorite past time. The local nine host the Binghamton Mets at 7:05 p.m. The game, of course, will be followed by a full Atlas Fireworks display. And Couptopia even has a great deal that garners you four premium box seats for $24 total! Can't make the game on the 4th? No problem. Use the voucher for any of the five games scheduled for through Monday!
