- Bedford residents, the Town announced that the Supervisors of the Checklist will meet on Friday, Aug. 19. from 3:30 - 4 p.m. to approve "additions, deletions, changes of name and address, and other updates to the Checklist." The Sessions are open to the public. It's not possible to change political party affiliation until after the State Primary Election on Sept. 13. Unless you are already registered as Undeclared on election day, "you will be given the ballot for the party you are affiliated with." If you are registered Undeclared, you can vote using the party ballot of your choice. To see what party you are currently affiliated with, visit app.sos.nh.gov. (Bedford Patch)
- The commuter rail partner the state has chosen for the new Manchester-Boston commuter rail line has a poor safety record. The organization has also had "massive financial deficits," and the federal government has placed the company on remedial safety orders. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation named the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) as the planned operator of the new New Hampshire train service to Boston. (Patch)

The soccer program is for kids from 5-18 years old who have physical, cognitive and social challenges.
