Baby Bald Eagles Nest Near Bedford
Local photographer films rare video of local bald eagle family.
Jeffrey Hastings looked long and hard, and he finally found the nest.
The local photographer/videographer – who owns Frame of Mind Photography – read a couple weeks ago in the Union Leader that a family of American bald eagles had taken up residence in Manchester, near the Bedford town line.
Because Bald Eagles are listed as a "threatened" species by New Hampshire Fish & Game – and legally protected in terms of anyone taking possession, harming, harassing, injuring and killing them – the New Hampshire Audubon Society was mum on the exact location when contacted by Bedford Patch.

Yet after weeks of scouring the banks of the Merrimack River, Hastings finally found the nest and captured the rare sight through photos and video (watch attached video above).
Hastings said the nest includes two adult American bald eagles as well as two or three eaglets, the first of the iconic creatures known to be born in Manchester in decades, according to the the aforementioned Union Leader article.

The nest, said Hastings, is located among the highest points in the area - roughly 90 feet up - atop a white pine tree.
