Here are the top 3 stories today in Bedford:
- In UNH football news, one of two players who stood out on the in-state player's roster was Bedford’s Ryan Toscano. Toscano, and Joe Eichman of Merrimack, were on the team’s chart for defense when the Wildcats held its first practice Wednesday morning. Nothing has been decided, but Bedford's Toscano was notably listed as a starter linebacker. Way to go! (Subscription/The Union Leader)
- Did you happen to catch the baseball game between friendly rivals, the Bedford Fire Department versus the Bedford Police Department? Players enthusiastically stepped up to the plate for the annual National Night Out softball game this week. In a post yesterday, Bedford Police said, "We had a blast (winning) at our annual last night! We want to thank Bedford Fire Department, NH for a great game." The game was also broadcast on Bedford's television network, BCTV! (Bedford NH Police Department via Facebook)
- A documentary film about New Hampshire's own Adam Sandler, "Finding Sandler," will have its New England premiere on Aug. 13 at The Rex Theater in Manchester. “Finding Sandler” is an independent film by New York filmmaker David Seth Cohen. The documentary started with a chance meeting with Adam Sandler as a young production assistant. The film is about Cohen's regrets, chasing his dreams, and taking a leap of faith, as he interviews "mostly friends and family" to create a documentary from his personal point of view.
