BEDFORD, NH — Theodore Luckey, 43, formerly of Asbury Park, New Jersey, has been indicted by the Hillsborough County Grand Jury in connection with the deaths of Nathan Cashman and David Hanford on Aug. 21, 2021, at a hotel in Bedford.

Luckey was indicted for three counts of murder: (1) one count of first-degree murder related to the death of Nathan Cashman, for purposely causing the death of Nathan Cashman by inflicting multiple chop wounds to him with a machete-type knife; (2) one count of first-degree murder for purposely causing the death of David Hanford by strangling him; and (3) an alternative count of second-degree murder related to the death of David Hanford, for recklessly causing Hanford’s death under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life by strangling him.

Luckey was also indicted for three counts of convicted felons, commonly known as felon in possession of a deadly weapon, for knowingly possessing: (1) a machete-type knife, (2) a firearm, and (3) metallic knuckles.
