Bedford Man Allegedly Robbed Bank While Talking on Cell Phone
26-year-old arrested with more than $4,000 cash at Bedford home.

It took investigators only a couple hours to piece together evidence that led to the Bedford door of 26-year-old Jonathan Talbot.
At 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 30, the Citizens Bank at 2035 Brown Avenue in Manchester was robbed of several thousand dollars in cash.
A 38-year-old teller told police a man entered the bank talking on his cell phone, approached the desk, retrieved a deposit slip and wrote on it. He then approached the teller with that slip, on which a hand-written note demanded cash and allegedly indicated the suspect had a gun, though no weapon was reportedly displayed.

According to Manchester Police, surveillance video shows that the man appeared to be talking on his cell phone throughout the crime.

After the suspect had left the bank, the teller and manager locked the door and looked out the window. They saw the suspect get into a vehicle parked in the lot and were able to obtain a license plate number before it drove off.
The plate number obtained by bank personnel was registered to a grey Audi A4, which was consistent with the vehicle they had seen the suspect operating.
The registered owner was Talbot, who resides at 11 Lindahl Road in Bedford.
Manchester Police were also able to view bank surveillance, which depicted the robbery and offered a clear view of the suspect.
Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski confirmed his department aided in the apprehension of Talbot Thursday afternoon.
"The Bedford Police Department responded to a request from the Manchester Police Department for assistance, which resulted in our officers securing a residence and subject at 11 Lindahl Road in Bedford believed to be connected with a robbery in Manchester," Bryfonski told Bedford Patch.
Detectives at the scene identified Talbot as the man depicted in video surveillance robbing the bank, and he was placed under arrest and charged with armed robbery.
Hawk Drive at Lindahl Road was closed for roughly two hours while officers executed a search warrant on Talbot’s vehicle and home. Inside the residence, they recovered more than $4,000 in cash, as well as other evidence linking Talbot to the robbery. No weapon was recovered.
Talbot is scheduled to be arraigned today in the 9th Circuit Court, District Division, in Manchester on the charge of armed robbery.
