Bedford Native Featured on New ABC Reality Show

Emily Burns grew up in Bedford.

Today you can find her in Martha's Vineyard, where she's filming ABC Family's newest realty show, "The Vineyard."

The show, which Entertainment Weekly describes as a "cross between Laguna Beach and The Real World," premieres July 23 and runs each Tuesday at 10 p.m. on ABC Family.

Burns currently resides in Boston, where she models part-time for CLICK Models and is employed as a real estate agent with Boston Proper.

Her Bedford roots, however, are deep.

A 2006 West High School graduate, Burns – the daughter of Bill and Leslie Burns of Bedford and the sister of former New Hampshire Executive Council candidate Bob Burns – earned her college degree from Keene State College in 2010.

"I'm happy for my sister. She is not an actress by trade, but has modeled part time since high school," said her brother. "This show has been a really unique opportunity for her and she is having a lot of fun down on Martha's Vineyard."
