  1. Spring has officially arrived and most ski resorts in New Hampshire are open. According to the Snocountry website, Attitash has 38 trails open, while Brettin Woods has 25. Canmore has 41 and Cannon Mountain has 53. Gunstock has 36, while King Pine has 17 of 17 trails open. Loon Mountain has 44, and Mount Sunapee has 48. Nearby Pat's Peak has all 28 trails open. Ragged Mountain has 28, Wildcat has 13, and Waterville Valley has the most, with 60 of 61 open trails. You can see the full report here: (Snocountry)
  2. Flower lovers can see orchids in bloom at the New Hampshire Orchid Society's annual show from March 25 to 27 at the Courtyard by Marriott on Southwood Drive in Nashua. Exhibits will feature a variety of orchids as well as supplies, pottery, art, and other items for sale. You will also find educational programs and daily guided tours. You may even spot a few visitors from the Bedford N.H. Garden Club. The show is open on Friday from 1-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with a range of admission prices. 3. Soaring home prices with few homes for sale have frustrated New Hampshire buyers and sellers. Some homeowners are not willing to sell without finding a home to buy, and buyers are having difficulty finding homes. Homes that are on the market sell quickly. The average home selling price in New Hampshire was up to $405,000 last month — 13 percent higher than last year, while homes sales dropped 28 percent. But market conditions may be changing with rising interest rates that could accelerate selling and buying, experts say. You can read the full story here: (WMUR)
