Bow Wow Bedford is Next Week

Here are 5 things you should know today.

1. Bow Wow Bedford. Bedford residents are invited to bring their four-legged friends to the Animal Rescue League, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a $19 rabies clinic and discounts for Bedford residents for Micro chipping.

2. 2013 Hazardous Waste Day. Bedford has scheduled its annual spring hazardous waste day for Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For a list of acceptable items and additional details, click here.

3. Fahrenheit 911. Thank you to all the Bedford residents and friends of Bedford Patch who helped us reach 900 Facebook 'Likes' Monday. Though we lost the race with Windham Patch, which hit 1,000 Facebook followers the same day, we have a new race, this with The Inside Scoop. Owner Hillary Rankins and company also surged past 900 this week and today sit at 936 Facebook 'Likes' to Bedford Patch's 911. 4. The weatherman says ... expect abundant sunshine with a high of 56 degrees and a 0-percent chance of rain, according to Weather.com.

5. Have a ball! The Bedford Firefighters Association is holding the 74th annual Firemen’s Ball at the Bedford Village Inn on Friday, May 3rd 2013. The event is a fundraiser for the Scholarship and Rescue funds for the Bedford Firefighters Association. The Firemen's Ball has been held in Bedford since the days of the Carousel Ball Room in Bedford Grove and moved to a few locations in town.
