Bulldogs Roundup: Girls Tennis Team Eyes Championship Tonight

Five of six BHS sports teams competing in postseason action this week.

Of the six Bedford High School spring athletic programs, only one team has concluded its season.

That unit, of course, is the BHS boys tennis team, which capped its first season in Division I play with a championship on Tuesday. The triumph marked the boys' fourth-straight title overall (the Bulldogs won three-consecutive D-II crowns before moving up this season).

Tonight, the BHS girls tennis squad attempts to follow suit to capture their second crown in three years when they play top-seeded and undefeated Bishop Guertin at 4 p.m. at Manchester West High School. The Lady B's suffered an 8-1 setback to the defensing state champs in the season opener on April 1.
