Of Bedford's six spring sports squads, only three are still playing.
The BHS boys tennis team concluded its season with a championship on Tuesday, but the Bedford girls tennis squad was unable to follow suit as they fell to top-seeded and undefeated Bishop Guertin, 5-1, on Thursday in the Division I championship contest.

Yesterday, two of three BHS teams (not including girls tennis) advanced, while the third team was bumped in the first round.

Girls Tennis
The Lady Bulldogs finished runner up to BG after dropping five of six singles matches during Thursday's championship contest at Manchester West. Results are as follows:
Singles:
- Anna Corrao vs Brianna Leonard 0-8
- Julie Aichinger vs Jennifer Dai 1-8
- Sadhana Tadepalli vs Lauren Hayward 1-8
- Abby Ramsey vs Elizabeth Dizesare 1-8

- Aichinger/Corrao vs Leonard/Hayward Did not play

Boys Lacrosse
The top-seeded Bulldogs opened defense of their 2012 championship with a 17-2 blowout of No. 8 Oyster River at Bedford High School. BHS takes on No. 4 Bow at 8 p.m. Saturday at Exeter High School.
Softball
The No. 6 ranked Lady Bulldogs, playing in their first D-I tournament, defeated No. 11 Pinkerton Academy, 1-0. BHS travels to No. 3 Dover for a 4 p.m. Saturday quarterfinal matchup against the Green Wave.
Baseball
The No. 12 Bulldogs, competing in D-I for the first time, traveled to Rochester and fell, 10-2, to 5 Spaulding in the opening round of the playoffs.
Girls Lacrosse
The third-seeded Lady B's triumphed, 13-11,in their opening-round game against Merrimack on Wednesday, earning a spot in the Division II semifinals against No. 2 Portsmouth. The contest is scheduled for 1 p.m Saturday at Southern New Hampshire University.
