1. Traffic backed up on Interstate 293 Sunday after a car hit a tree just before 11 a.m. and burst into flames. A 2010 Subaru veered off the highway, hit a tree and burst into flames, closing the southbound lane and backing up traffic into Bedford. Manchester firefighters, AMR ambulance, and New Hampshire State Police were called to the rollover crash to find the single occupant of the burning car being treated by bystanders away from the crash scene. State police said the driver was Laura Ann Archambault, 43, of Hooksett. (Bedford Patch)
2. If you're looking for creative projects and fall-themed workshops in Bedford this week, what about a witch-themed project to coincide with the new "Hocus Pocus 2" movie release? The Canvas Roadshow/ Hammer & Stain is offering a special witch-themed workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. If you knit, weave, sew, crochet, braid rungs, embroider or do any kind of fiber craft, join the Bedford Public Library Fiber Arts Group on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. Bring a project to work on, or start something new! 3. Bedford police officers will put down their razors in October for a good cause. Next month, officers are "putting down their razors to pick up donations" for Beards for Bucks.
