Celebrate Two Years of Finch Fun!
Here are five things you should know about in Bedford today!

1. Don't forget your grass skirt! The Purple Finch Café is celebrating two years of great food and fun in Bedford today beginning at 7 a.m. Join the festivities and wear a Hawaiian Shirt, and don't forget to try The Purple Finch's Big Kahuna Burger! For more information, click here.
2. Back to school blues. While some schools in New Hampshire and other parts of the country don't welcome students back until after Labor Day, Bedford students head back a week early. 3. Missing landscape equipment? A Bedford resident posted the following on our Bedford Patch announcement board: On Monday the evening of 8-19, in the area of New Boston an Wallace rd., I found a piece a landscaping equipment. 4. Think you've got what it takes? Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras is holding auditions today, at Ipswich High School in Ipswich, Mass., for elementary through high school musicians. For more information, click here.
5. The weatherman says ... Temperatures once again rise into the low 90s today as summer vacation goes out with one last mini heat wave. Today's forecasted high, according to Weather.com, is 91 degrees, with a 10-percent chance of rain and an overnight low of 67 degrees.
