1. If you purchased organic California strawberries with the Kampo or HEB brand name between March 5 and April 25, the FDA warns they may be contaminated with Hepatitis A. Seventeen people became ill with Hepatitis A in California, Minnesota and North Dakota, resulting in 12 hospitalizations. The strawberries are now past their shelf life, but people who froze the affected strawberries should not eat them and should immediately throw them away, the FDA said. The strawberries were sold at Aldi, HEB, Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts Farmers Market, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Weis Markets and WinCo Foods. (WMUR)
2. An adorable dog named Max that was found in Amherst and brought to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire in Bedford on May 29 has been reunited with his owner! After posting his picture on the ARLNH Facebook page, they shared the happy news that Max, who came in with a tag that had his name, but no phone number, address, or microchip, has been reunited with his dad.
