Don't Miss the Bike Rodeo this Weekend!
Here are five things you should know today in Bedford.

1. Grab your kids, grab their bikes and head on down to the bike rodeo! Yeehaw! In order to celebrate Bicycle Safety Month, the Bedford Police and Fire Departments are hosting the 2nd-Annual Bike Rodeo this Sunday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the upper parking lot of Bedford High School. Police and Fire Department personnel will be on hand to provide bicycle and motorcycle demonstrations while educating participants about bicycle safety. For more information, click here.
2. Shoutout for strawberries! The fourth-annual Bedford Strawberry Festival, organized by the Friends of Town of Bedford Cemeteries, is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the athletic fields near the performance state at the Bedford Memorial Pool on County Road. In addition to exhibitors from local service organizations and town entities, there will be local artists and craftsman, face painting and, of course, a strawberry shortcake eating contest to benefit the Stevens-Busewell School project.
3. The weatherman says ... A warm and mostly sunny day awaits. According to Weather.com, today's high temperature jump up to 80 degrees with a 0-percent change of precipitation. Some strong gust of wind may make temperatures feel more mild.
