Man And Woman Perish In Camper Fire On Brown Avenue In Manchester
Firefighters arrived at a camper fully engulfed in fire and reported two people trapped inside. The fire is currently under investigation.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire received reports of a camper on fire near a home at 1670 Brown Avenue on Thursday, just before 8 p.m.
Manchester Fire Engine 9, located less than a mile from the scene, was at the scene within two minutes and reported a camper heavily engulfed in fire and two people reported to be trapped inside.
Firefighters stretched hose lines, knocked down the fire, and used power tools to enter the trailer.

The NH State Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to respond to the scene and began conducting a joint investigation with Manchester Fire and Police.
Two people, a man and a woman, were in the RV's bedroom area. The victims will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to verify their identity and confirm their cause and manner of death, according to New Hampshire Fire Marshal Sean Toomey and MFD Chief Ryan Cashin.

A third person was injured and sustained burns to his hands while attempting to extinguish the fire; EMS crews assessed him on the scene, and he was later brought to the hospital by a family member, according to MFD Battalion Chief Ken Proulx.
Brown Avenue was closed while firefighters completely extinguished the fire, which did not appear to have spread to the adjacent home.
A witness who was across the street told Manchester Information that he heard propane tank explosions and then heavy fire. The intense fire prevented anyone from getting near the trailer to make any rescues.
At this time, Manchester Fire Marshals, New Hampshire Fire Marshals, and Manchester police are investigating at the scene.
