Bedford Blaze Damages 101 Office Building

Two-alarm fire likely electrical in nature.

A two-alarm office park fire that shut down the intersection of Route 101 and Jenkins Road has been contained and all area traffic has been restored to normal.

Bedford Deputy Fire Chief Mark Klose said it appears the blaze was electrical, and noted that the structure, Unit 6 at 360 Route 101 (which is the listed home of Powerhouse Consulting), was saved, though there was significant smoke and water damage to the interior and exterior.

The fire, he added, appears to have originated in the basement and was contained below the first floor.

The fire was first reported shortly after 5 p.m. and was contained around 6:36 p.m., said Klose, who noted a second alarm was necessary due to especially hot weather conditions at the time of the call.

Milford and Merrimack were among the departments to provide mutual aid.
