- What are the best potted vegetable plants for a patio? If you don't have enough space for a garden or would like to find the easiest vegetable to grow on a patio, Leah Devriendt of Devriendt Farms in Goffstown offered a few tips when she spoke with WMUR's Ray Brewer of Grow It Green. Tomatoes are "the number one container vegetable," Devriendt said, adding that the mistake most people make is using "too small a pot." Tomatoes are "deep-rooted" plants and need a large container with holes. She notes that tomatoes bred specifically for pots are the best choice. See the full story/video here: (WMUR)
