Firefighters In Manchester Rescue Cat At Apartment Building Fire
Manchester firefighters responded to a multi-unit building on Pine Street in Manchester and extinguished a kitchen fire and rescued a cat.
MANCHESTER, NH — Firefighters responded to a call for fire alarms activated in the building on Pine Street on Friday.
When they arrived, the immediately noticed smoke coming from a multi unit building and additional apparatus and AMR ambulance were dispatched.
Firefighters made entry into the building and found a kitchen fire on the second floor. Firefighters extinguished the fire and ventilated smoke from the second and third floor of the building.

As the fire was being extinguished a cat was discovered in the apartment where the fire had started, and the cat was rescued.
The cat appeared to be OK, and was held in a AMR ambulance while the fire was being extinguished. The cat was returned to the owners after the fire was extinguished.

There was limited structural damage and people were able to return to their apartments.
