Flash Flood Watch in Effect for Bedford

Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected.

More heavy rain is on the way today, according to the National Weather Service.

The potential exists for flooding and localized flash flooding from 2 p.m. Monday into Tuesday across much of the state. Rain will move into southern New Hampshire late Monday morning or early Monday afternoon and spread over the remainder of the area through Monday night. Rain will become heavy at times as embedded thunderstorms develop Monday afternoon. Anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected through Tuesday morning.

Flash flooding will be possible, as the ground is already saturated from several days of showers and Thunderstorms. Rain will taper off to showers after midnight.

A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. Residents are urged to monitor forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take quick action should flooding develop.
