- Did you know that refrigerators and freezers made in 1990 or earlier use three to four times more electricity? Now's your chance to have your old refrigerator or freezer picked up and recycled for free by the Town of Bedford. You may also get a $75 rebate check through NH Saves, if you place an order between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30, and your refrigerator or freezer is picked up by Dec. 31. Schedule a no-cost pickup from Bedford's recycling contractor, ARCA, at 1-877-889-4763 or CLICK HERE to place an online order. - More affordable housing may be coming to Bedford. Cambridge Trust announced it will provide up to $30 million to build affordable apartments with New Hampshire Housing. In a recent release, Cambridge Trust announced a three-year agreement with New Hampshire to finance rental housing "with a focus on supporting low- and moderate-income households and nonprofit developers" in local communities. - A shoutout to Lindsey, a volleyball athlete who gives back to our community. She was nominated as a Star Student Athlete in Bedford.
