  1. The heat is on! Be prepared for extreme temperatures and high humidity in Bedford through Monday. Officials cautioned New Hampshire residents and visitors to be prepared for extremely hot and humid weather over the next several days, with temperatures in the high 90s. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a "hazardous weather outlook" for most of New Hampshire, with scattered thunderstorms, and downpours. and extremely hot and humid conditions Wednesday, Thursday, and through the weekend.   2. New Hampshire has hit a "record low" unemployment, with the state's unemployment rate at 2 percent. That's down from 16.2 percent unemployment during the height of the pandemic— and it's the lowest unemployment rate in the state's 46 years of record-keeping. It signals that the labor market in the state is strong, said Brian Gottlob, director of the state Economic and Labor Market Information Bureau, adding he expects the trend to continue. Warren Jennings, general manager at fuel supplier Dead River Co., said he thought in the short term, hiring will continue to be challenging. He wasn't recruiting workers when he said he recently found a new employee in Bedford. How did it happen? He met the young man at the gym where he works out," and now he (now) works here,” he said.
