- The Howl-O-Ween 5K is back, and it's one of the biggest events of the year! It's also one of the biggest fundraising events for The Animal Rescue League of N.H. in Bedford. The 5K will be on Oct. 22 this year. "If you like costumes, dogs, and supporting homeless animals in your community, you should consider registering!" the ARLNH said in a recent social media post. And everyone who registers by Sept. 15 will get a free race T-shirt. Runners, walkers, vendors and dogs are all welcome. - A family in Dartmouth captured a UFO on a cell phone camera early Monday morning. The mysterious object caught the eye of Joe Sylvia at 4:30 on Monday morning. He said that's the time he and his wife leave for work, adding, "I usually go outside with a cup of coffee to have a cigarette while waiting for her to leave." When he looked up in the sky, he noticed "something strange." He described it as a bright, large object that was completely still, or moving so slowly that it looked still. When his wife came outside, she took a few pictures before the unusual object silently shot off and disappeared. The sighting wasn't in Bedford, New Hampshire, but was spotted in the town of Dartmouth, next to New Bedford, Massachusetts. (WBSM)
