Hundreds Without Power In Bedford

700-plus Eversource customers are out; the company expects power to be restored before noon on Tuesday.

BEDFORD, NH — About 700 customers were without power in Bedford on Tuesday.

Limited information was available at post-time about the outage, but witnesses stated smoke was seen in the area of Back River Road and Route 3. Eversource pinpointed the outage near the Reeds Ferry State Forest and the Everett Turnpike.

At 11:15 a.m., 706 customers in Bedford were out and had been for about an hour. Fewer than five were out in Merrimack. It is unknown if the Merrimack customers were connected to the Bedford outage.

The company said restoration was expected before noon on Tuesday.
