  1. Congratulation's to Frederick's Pastries in Bedford and Amherst, named one of the top bakeries in the Viewers' Choice 2022: Best cakes in New Hampshire. The popular Bedford bakery was a top pick when viewers were asked, "If you need a cake for a special occasion, where do you go to find the best in New Hampshire?" Other New Hampshire favorites were the Autumn Nomad Café in Jackson, Toot Sweets Confectionery in Charlestown, Batter Up in Chocorua and Carina's Cakes in Derry. (WMUR Manchester)
  2. Ice cream shops are looking for suppliers of premium ice cream after well-known Richardson's Ice Cream, located in Middleton Massachusetts, had to temporarily suspend production. Ice cream shops received the news just as temperatures soared this weekend. The Inside Scoop in Bedford learned in their weekly call to order ice cream that production has been limited until the end of May or beginning of June because Richardons's said they can't get the ingredients they need.   4. Manchester Democrat state senator Kevin Cavanaugh announced he is running for the New Hampshire District 4 Executive Council. Cavanaugh said the Executive Council needs a new voice, adding, "It is clear that a new voice is needed on the Executive Council who will put people first, adding thatfamilies in District 4 "deserve a leader who will fight for them, their children, and their future." The District 4 Seat, that includes Manchester, Bedford, and the surrounding communities, is currently held by Republican Tom Gatsas, the former mayor of Manchester. Cavanaugh is a former football coach for both West and Memorial high schools and a state Senator since 2017 and an alderman for Ward 1 in Manchester since 2015. (Bedford Patch)
