It's Official. Seth Meyers Named 'Late Night' Host
Bedford-raised comedian replacing Jimmy Fallon who takes over for Jay Leno.

It's been rumored for months.
Sunday, the rumor turned fact as Seth Meyers officially announced that he'll be taking over for Jimmy Fallon on NBC's "Late Night Show."

Perhaps fittingly, the announcement came on Mother's Day.

Last year, Meyers – the longtime Saturday Night Live writer/comedian and host of the popular Weekend Update segment – returned to Bedford to perform a stand-up routine at Bedford High School in support of Bedford Education Association and in tribute to the career of his mother, a retiring Bedford school teacher.
