- A Jeep was engulfed in flames on Route 293 in Bedford around 9 a.m. Wednesday that backed up traffic for miles. The travel and breakdown lanes were closed, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office directed traffic around the incident. Happily, the driver escaped the flames. - The Bedford Town Council is looking for volunteers to be considered for appointment as the Bedford resident representative on the Commission on the Environmental and Public Health Impacts of Perfluorinated Chemicals as established by a 2019 House Bill. The Commission investigates and analyzes the environmental and public health impacts of perfluorinated "forever" chemicals released in the air, soil, and groundwater in Merrimack, Bedford, and Litchfield and will run until 2024. - Clark’s Trading Post in Lincoln said goodbye to Victoria, the oldest female bear ever to be raised at the trading post, who died Monday at 32 years old.
