Here are the top stories in Bedford today:

  1. Let's clean up, Bedford! It's the 2nd Annual Clean Up Bedford Day (CUB). Everyone get on board and pitch in to clean up Bedford on October 15 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Blue bags are now available at five locations: Transfer Station, Town Library, Town Offices, Farm at Joppa Hill, and the Safety Complex. (Town of Bedford)
  2. The 2022 Harvest Fair is now open! Stop by and find original crafts, fiber art, custom jewelry, and more one-of-a-kind items now through Monday, October 10 at the historic Oliver Kendall House, 3A Meetinghouse Road, Bedford (right behind the Bedford Public Library). The Craftworkers Guild is offering curbside pick-up and shipping to online shoppers. Parking is free. (The Craftworkers Guild)
  3. The Bedford Fire Department now has more firepower to douse flames. The BFD received a new Tower 1 firetruck! On Monday, Group 4 welcomed a brand new Tower 1 firetruck into the Safety Complex. In traditional fire service fashion, firefighters pushed the firetruck into its official inside spot. Look for the shiny new tower truck out in the Bedford community as department members complete their orientation and training over the next few weeks.
