- Bedford dog lovers, your faithful pal can soon go with you to outdoor dining areas of restaurants throughout New Hampshire thanks to a new law passed. On Thursday, Gov. Chris Sununu signed a bill allowing restaurant owners to permit dogs in outdoor dining restaurant areas, but there are a few requirements: Dogs must be licensed and up to date with rabies shots, they have to be kept on the ground and they cannot eat or drink using restaurant's glasses, plates or utensils. Also, as cute as they may be, restaurant staff are prohibited from petting or playing with canine visitors. The new law takes effect in 60 days. You can read the full story here: (WMUR)
- People praying to end the war in Ukraine filled the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church on the corner of Lowell and Walnut streets in Manchester for Sunday Mass at 10 a.m. Before the service, several people knelt in silent prayer. Outside a church, a sign read, “Peace for Ukraine.” Christina Pasicznyk Vogel said she was "very proud" of Ukrainian people working together to fight for their lives and freedom. Not just for themselves, she said, but for "all of Europe" and "the entire free world." You can read the full story here: (The Union Leader)
- A shout out to Target for offering higher wages to attract employees. In some locations, Target is offering up to $24 an hour. Target stores and distribution centers in places like New York, where competition for employees is fierce, could see starting wages as high as $24 an hour this year. The company said Monday it will offer a minimum wage of $15 to $24 an hour, with the highest pay in the most competitive markets. Target already pays a starting wage of $15 an hour in locations like the Target store in Bedford, New Hampshire. Target has about 1,900 stores and 350,000 employees across the U.S. You can read the full story here: (WMUR)

Looking for a healthy alternative to that mid-week glass (or three) of wine? Our partners at Betera set out to create beverages that were sophisticated and flavorful enough to drink at cocktail hour but with zero hangover risk. (Their motto is “Drink like there’s tomorrow.”) Betera's drinks are designed by a Michelin-starred chef using natural botanicals — they're lightly effervescent, sippable, refreshingly bitter and at home in a stem glass or in a highball on the rocks.
Betera offers three recipes — Rhubarb-Hibiscus, Elderflower-Lime and Ginger-Orange. We’ve tried all three and loved them equally — we recommend the mixed case as a great place to start. Betera has extended their 15 percent discount on first orders to Daily readers, in appreciation for the enthusiastic response so far. Enter Patch15 at checkout and https://bit.ly/TryBetera.
