Here are the top stories today in Bedford:
- The leaves are in peak foliage and the air is cool— perfect weather for a fall hike on beautiful New Hampshire trails. If you're looking for a new trail, are ready for a little adventure, or are just looking for inspiration, the Bedford Public Library has you covered. Check out the BPL fall hiking guide to some of New England's best trails!
- New Hampshire residents are actively looking for homes, but real estate listings show they aren't moving. A study released by a Texas real estate group found that "New Hampshire homeowners are more likely than those of the other five New England states to be doing online research about moving," but New Hampshire home listings "show that in reality, more homeowners are staying put." The study by TexasRealEstateSource.com ranks Granite Staters 16th in the nation for online searches of people who are looking to move. (Manchester Ink Link)
- Did you notice flags flying at half-staff in New Hampshire Sunday? Flags in the state were at half-mast to honor firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. The firefighters were honored at the 41st National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service ceremony in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Let's always remember and honor our fallen heroes. (WMUR Manchester)
