Manchester Police Search House In Missing Child Investigation
Detectives worked for several hours at a Gilford Street home. The father of the missing child, Adam Montgomery, previously lived there.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police continued to search for Harmony Montgomery, a missing 7-year-old who was last seen in Manchester in October 2019, when she was 5.
Police were only notified that the child was missing last week and immediately began investigating. Police held a news conference on Friday asking for assistance from the public on any clues or tips related to finding Harmony. Harmony is a white female, approximately 4 feet tall, 50 pounds, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and should be wearing glasses. She is blind in one eye.
“She was last seen at a residence in Manchester,” Chief Allen Aldenberg said while declining to provide more specifics.

Aldenberg said there was contact with the child’s family that included the whereabouts of the child in October 2019, which was a combination of police and DCYF presence at a residence. He acknowledged that the two-year gap in information is highly unusual and is why the police are pouring all available resources into locating the child.
“For us to have a two-year delay, that’s concerning," he said. "It’s not something that happens on a regular basis. We have a two-year window we’re trying to shrink as much as humanly possible as fast as we can.”

At the news conference, Aldenberg said it was believed that the child was enrolled in a school at some point in Massachusetts.
“I’m imploring, I’m asking, I’ll go so far as I’m begging the community, I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and think it’s irrelevant, call us,” he said.
Detectives from the Manchester Police Department have been investigating this matter non-stop since being made aware.
On Sunday, detectives arrived at a small house on Gilford Street on the West Side of Manchester. The crime scene processing van was parked in the driveway surrounded by crime scene tape. Detectives and officers set up tents and tarps in the small backyard of the house and gathered items.
A person on Twitter, who has actively been following the case, posted aerial photos of the police working in the backyard.

The house was sold in 2020, according to real estate transfer records. Prior to the sale, the father of the missing child, Adam Montgomery, was listed in an online database as one of the people at the address searched.
Several social media posts have shared names of relatives and theories. At the news conference, Aldenberg said the focus was on finding Harmony and that they were not trying to locate anyone else at this time.
